2026 Interns- Welcome!
The International Centre for EdTech Impact has a strong tradition of supporting the next generation of EdTech researchers—those who not only understand impact and evidence but also bridge the gap between academia and industry. As part of this vision, we welcome at least one cohort of interns each year, providing them with the opportunity to work alongside senior researchers, collaborate directly with EdTech companies and global agencies, and gain hands-on experience in the field.
Please join us in welcoming our 2026 cohort of interns! Through a competitive process, these talented individuals were selected to join us for projects in 2026 and early 2026.
In no particular order, this year we are joined by:
Aanchal Kapur, Polina Schevchenko, Sherlyn Samuel, Yang Zhengrui, Shruti Sheshadri and Andrea Villasmil
All interns have an exciting and relevant background. For example, Aanchal Kapur holds a MPhil in Education (Globalisation and International Development) from the University of Cambridge, and her work focuses on systems thinking in education, early childhood education, and how evidence and innovation can contribute to stronger and more equitable education systems.
Sherlyn Samuel is an independent researcher based in Tamil Nadu, India, working at the intersection of Educational Data Mining and Human-Computer Interaction. She holds a B.E. in Computer Science and has been building independent research work, including a platform that logs children's learning interactions to help them learn mathematics better.
Andrea Villasmil is a psychologist and Chevening Scholar, having completed her MA in Inclusive Education at UCL, England. She is currently building an EdTech venture focused on supporting neurodivergent learners and teacher training, and is exploring pursuing a PhD in Europe that integrates research with real-world educational impact.
