Purpose of this course

This course is designed to equip policymakers with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions about the procurement and implementation of educational technology (EdTech) solutions in their specific contexts. Drawing on the latest research and global best practices, the course will provide insights into evaluating EdTech tools for their educational impact, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with policy goals. Participants will explore real-world examples and case studies to understand how to assess EdTech innovations, navigate challenges such as equity and accessibility, and implement strategies that maximize learning outcomes and social impact.

This self-paced course is structured across five flexible units, allowing policymakers to choose and complete any unit at any time, without a specific sequence. Each unit is designed to provide in-depth insights into EdTech, its impact, and policy considerations, empowering participants to make informed decisions on procurement and implementation in their unique contexts. To ensure comprehension, there is a quiz at the end of each unit, enabling policymakers to test their understanding of the content presented and reinforce key concepts for practical application.
